Square Enix has released a lengthy gameplay video showcasing the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.

The footage comes from the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae, the playable demo of the next installment in the legendary Final Fantasy series of Japanese role-playing games, which will be packed together with the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a remake of a great PlayStation Portable Game from way back, coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles this March, and buying its Day One edition will be the only way to gain access to the FFXV demo.

The video comes from a livestream with Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata, showcasing the fantastic visuals, and showing off some of the world we'll be able to explore, complete with allowing us a sneak peek at how combat works.

The demo is very detailed, and all the character movement animations look very smooth, especially during combat. The game has been in the making for quite a few years, but it seems that all the work has really paid off.

Final Fantasy XV will most likely come out sometime in 2016, headed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment systems.
