Video game publisher and developer Square Enix have announced that they have released the 1.22 patch for their MMO Final Fantasy XIV.

The update for the game delivers: a number of new items to equip and use, more options when it comes to inventory management, better design for the Recruit panel, more in-game content linked to the Grand Company, changes to make the enfeebling magic more potent and more end game quests to keep high-level players occupied.

There’s also quite a big section in the change log for the 1.22 patch that includes all the bugs, some of them quite serious, which have been fixed.

Final Fantasy XIV was launched quite soon after the single-player focused Final Fantasy XIII and was supposed to attract many of the fans of the JRPG franchise.

The game had a lot of problems when it came out, and Square Enix plans to introduce a version 2.0 of the MMO during the fall.
