Square Enix has posted some more details about its long-awaited Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn online game, confirming that the first beta stage will be held on the PC platform in the middle of February, and will soon make its way onto the PlayStation 3 console.

Final Fantasy XIV was supposed to delight MMORPG fans, but it ended up a disappointment. After making it free-to-play while it fixed issues and revamped the whole game, Square Enix is now getting ready to debut an overhauled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn version.

According to a new announcement on the official Lodestone website, the Japanese company has revealed the first details about a beta stage for the online game.

The first test phase will kick off on the PC platform in the middle of February. It will be followed by one more closed beta and another that will take place both on the PC and on the PS3. After that, a final open stage will be organized in order to test the systems and the servers powering A Realm Reborn.

You can expect to hear more details as we step into the New Year.
