Square Enix is currently working on a remake for Final Fantasy X and for the expansion X-2, which will include High Definition graphics and some gameplay improvements, and it seems that the company is about 70 percent done with the process.

The figure comes from a report in Japanese magazine Famitsu, translated by Gematsu, which reveals that the pre-rendered cutscenes of the game have also been updated to the new quality standards and that players will be surprised by the new character models.

Apparently, the OLED screen of the PlayStation Vita handheld will make the game better looking than the normal television sets associated with the PlayStation 3 home console.

Both HD versions should be out during 2013 and players will also be able to get all the extra content included in the Internal game package.
