The development team at Square Enix working on Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn announces that the upcoming patch 2.1 for the MMO will introduce saloons to the title for the first time, allowing gamers to tweak the facial structure and various hair characteristics for all characters.

The company states on the official forums that it will also include plenty of fixes for game systems that are not working well and a raft of balance modifications designed to make the entire title more attractive.

Naoki Yoshida, a producer on Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, says that the team wants to make sure that players never feel restricted by the game in any way.

More character options will be delivered in future patches for the MMO, each of which will be focused on one of the included races.

Patch 2.1 is at the moment set to be launched on December 17 across all the game’s servers.
