A new Far Cry 4 release rumor has been getting quite a lot of attention all because of a possible image teaser that has been discovered by fans.

The image portrays Far Cry 3's villain Vaas sitting with a gruesome expression on his face in what looks like a padded room inside an asylum.

The walls are filled with numerous writings and, according to Idigitaltimes, among them, one can see the date 4.04.2014 to the left of the “Let's Play” phrase.

Those who have finished the game know for sure that Vaas is not supposed to be alive anymore so it is quite surprising and highly unlikely to have him return as a follow-up to Far Cry 3.

The release date on Far Cry 4 came from duuro.net, but the guys from Ubisoft have not given any information concerning the image or a potential Far Cry 4 release in the future, although they had promised some details after the successful release of expansion Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

We've reached out to Ubisoft for comments on these rumors, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

[UPDATE]:Ubisoft declined to comment on the rumours.
