Bungie believes that the addition of fantasy elements to its upcoming Destiny video game will give its developers and artists more options when it comes to world creation and character development.

Joseph Staten, who is a writer and a design director working at Bungie, explains to The Official Xbox Magazine that, “Fantasy brings us this texture that we can wrap around sci-fi, which is really appealing, especially if you’re an artist who’s just been stuck making straight up space armour for ten years.”

Apparently, the team has been very happy to be able to use cloth on some characters, rather than focus on the tech-based armor that the Halo series was known for.

Destiny is expected to launch during the final quarter of this year and will have special content for the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
