14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer and publisher Perfect World has announced that it is working on a new MMO project called Fantasy Condor Heroes, which will be launched during this year and will come to both the Chinese and Western markets.
The game is based on a novel called Return of the Condor Heroes, written by Louis Cha, and is based around martial arts moves and adventures.
The publisher has not offered any information on the exact mechanics of the game or on how the intellectual property will be used.
The novel is part of a wider series and has already been adapted into a television franchise.
The company has a history of using traditional Chinese settings for its games, which usually use the free-to-play business model and rely on micro-transactions to deliver revenue.
The company has recently announced that year over year revenue has increased during its last trimester, with the overall value reaching 708.9 Yuan, which is about 112 million dollars (86.05 million Euro).
