After hearing that Crytek isn’t working on a TimeSplitters 4 project, fans of the classic franchise have started a movement on Facebook that wants to gather 100,000 likes and prove to the studio that there is much love for the series, enough to even power a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, for example.

Ever since Crytek acquired developer Free Radical, now known as Crytek UK, many fans have expected to hear that TimeSplitter 4, a new entry in the classic franchise, will be made.

Sadly, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said time and time again that it was not working on such a game. He did hint that, should fans prove their loyalty to the franchise, a new decision could be made.

Now, fans are rallying to a Facebook page in support of TimeSplitters 4 that wants to gather over 100,000 likes and show Crytek how popular the franchise is.

While the campaign has “just” 12,000 likes at the moment, Crytek’s Yerli did post on his Twitter an encouragement message saying that, “How big is the TimeSplitters Community? Let me hear you!"
