The developers at The Creative Assembly have launched another video diary linked to the upcoming Fall of the Samurai expansion for Total War: Shogun 2, with the team talking about the new features that the stand-alone expansion will introduce and how the game will integrate them all.

The developers talk about the new special Foreign Veteran secret agent, who is basically a sort of drunken Tom Cruise with training capabilities, about the way the map has been extended to accommodate the new time period and the way modernization affects the factions in the game depending on the choices they make.

Fall of the Samurai takes place during the XIX century and allows the players to choose a side as Japan prepares for a conflict between the old samurai class and their Shogun and the re-emerging Emperor and his conscript forces.

The Fall of the Samurai standalone expansion will be launched exclusively on the PC on March 23.
