Even if Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC hasn't even been confirmed by developer Rockstar Games, nefarious individuals have created a fake pirated copy of the game containing 18GB of bogus data that actually infects the PCs of those who download it with all sorts of malware.

GTA 5 was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17 and, despite several leaks, reports, and rumors, a PC version has yet to be confirmed by Rockstar Games.

That didn't stop shady individuals from preying on unsuspecting gamers who were looking for a pirated copy of GTA 5 for the PC.

As such, they created a fake torrent file, according to WCCFtech, filled with 18GB of data, including a plausible setup.exe file.

After downloading the torrent and starting the setup, however, the host PC gets infected with different types of malware while users are sent to a scam website filled with surveys in order to get the actual cracked files for the game.
