Lionhead, the developer of the Fable franchise, has confirmed that the upcoming remake of the first game in the series, Fable Anniversary, has been pushed back until February of 2014, as the studio wants to work on it some more before launching it for the Xbox 360.

The Fable series has delighted more or less quite a few fans from around the world with its great RPG gameplay that, while plagued by different errors from time to time, was still quite enjoyable.

In order to let Xbox 360 owners experience the first game in the series, Lionhead is currently preparing a Fable Anniversary title.

While the game was set to debut this fall, it has now been delayed until February of 2014, according to an announcement on the studio's blog, as it feels it needs more time to work on the game and meet the ambitions set by the team and, of course, by fans of the series.
