The developers at EA Sports are announcing that they are planning to now launch the new FIFA 15-based Ultimate Team web application on Wednesday, September 17, a slight delay from the initially announced date.

The new service is designed to make it easier for players to stay in contact with the team they create for the game mode and to perform routine operations even if they are unable to get to the home console or the PC on which they have created it.

The Web App for FIFA 14 Ultimate Team was initially heavily abused by gamers who sought to get access to more money for the mode and was taken down by the development team at EA Sports.

The studio says that the new incarnation of the concept is more resilient, and it has previously also announced that it is planning to be much tougher on those who do not respect the rules, with quick bans issued for infractions.

The team wants to make sure that paying customers get the content they want and that the playing field remains even in the Ultimate Team mode for as long as the game is active.

FIFA 15 will be offered on September 23 in North America and on September 25 in Europe on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles.
