The development team at EA Sports is announcing that it is planning to implement a new maintenance period for FIFA 15 and FIFA 14 starting at 10:30 PM Pacific Time on May 10, which is the equivalent of 6:30 AM Greenwich Mean Time on May 11.

The Ultimate Team, the web app, the mobile companion application, FIFA World and the EA Sports Football Club will all be down.

The development team explains in the official announcement that the maintenance period is planned to last 3.5 hours.

If any extension is needed, the company will use its social media presence to announce it.

EA Sports is not offering any information on the changes it plans to make to FIFA 15 and FIFA 14 during the maintenance period.

The studio has been talking about improving security for the Ultimate Team mode and the apps associated with it before it launches the Team of the Season package of players.

There are also plans to eliminate more coin farmers from FIFA 15 in order to make sure that the football sim is fair and balanced for all members of the community.

More details about the maintenance might be offered once the downtime is done.
