The development team at EA Sports announces that it is delaying the launch of the Ultimate team World Cup mode and the associated Kick-Off World Cup feature for FIFA 14 because of some issues linked to the new content.

Apparently, the studio is working to make sure that they are all eliminated as soon as possible and plans to deliver the content in the coming days, with an official info update set to be offered late on Thursday.

The World Cup themed content was announced last week and some long-term fans of the franchise are already complaining that EA Sports is unable to keep its promises to the community.

The developers explain on the forums that, “Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision. However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it’s important to address them first before release.”

The Ultimate Team World Cup mode will add the national teams that are taking part in the final tournament in Brazil, along with all the players they use with reworked stats.

Gamers will be able to create their own outfits, using new Chemistry roles, and then challenge friends in online or offline tournaments.

Special new packs associated with the mode will be offered in the store.
