The development team at EA Sports is delivering a new Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 14, which introduces a full squad of new players for gamers to integrate into their own teams before challenging friends and rivals online.

The two major stars of the new team are Thierry Henry and Jermaine Defoe, two strikers who have become well known to football fans after playing well in England. They both have since departed for the MLS.

Gamers will be able to get access to a number of other players who support the two strikers.

The Ultimate Team mode has been in maintenance earlier today in order for the development team to try and eliminate the connectivity issues that have plagued the experience for some players during the last few weeks.

Football lovers who are already missing the 2014 Brazil FIFA World Cup can re-create matches or re-write history using both the Kick-Off and the Ultimate Team modes of FIFA 14.

At the moment, EA Sports is putting the finishing touches on FIFA 15, which will be delivered at the end of September and will be powered by an improved Ignite engine on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC.
