The group stage matches at the real-life 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil are now ended, and the development team at EA Sports is launching its third and final matchday package for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 14.

Gamers who get it will be able to use a range of new players who performed well during the last four days, including the Barcelona trio of Messi, Neymar and Iniesta, who have the potential to improve any team they are part of.

The Ultimate Team mode has been upgraded with World Cup-related content, and gamers can challenge each other using their favorite nations and combinations of players, paying attention to the Chemistry that's developing between them.

It's unclear whether EA Sports plans to launch special Ultimate Team packages for the coming matches, which use an elimination system.

The game mode has become one of the most popular in the FIFA series and has created a solid revenue stream for Electronic Arts.

FIFA 15 will be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and current-gen consoles in late September of this year, and EA Sports has promised yet unnamed improvements for the Ultimate Team experience.
