The development team at EA Sports announces that it is currently investigating a connectivity problem that is affecting the very popular Ultimate Team mode for the game and will offer more information once it gets it.

The company is not saying how many gamers are currently unable to connect to the online infrastructure, and it's unclear whether the issue is linked to the infrastructure or something else.

The Twitter message announcing the problem has drawn comments from fans who are urging EA Sports to offer more information and to provide a fix as soon as possible.

Before the weekend, the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 14 was affected by another set of problems linked to the transfer lists and the transfer targets, which were solved pretty quickly.

A patch was recently delivered for the football simulation, and the community is speculating that the issues might be linked to some of the changes it has introduced.

The Ultimate Team mode and the exclusive Legends Xbox release are important revenue streams for Electronic Arts, which means the company is motivated to eliminate any issues as soon as possible.

EA Sports is currently working on a 2014 Brazil World Cup game that will be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.
