FIFA 14, the EA Sports made football title, has managed to take the number one position in the United Kingdom chart in time for Christmas, beating Call of Duty: Ghosts, the first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and publisher Activision.

It is the 14th time in the history of the franchise that has managed to deliver this performance and the first time since 2008 that it has happened.

According to data from UKIE for the week that ended on December 22, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has managed to take third place.

Battlefield 4 – Electronic Arts LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – Warner Bros. GTA V – Take Two Just Dance 2014 – Ubisoft Need for Speed: Rivals – Electronic Arts Killzone: Shadow Fall – Sony Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Mojang

Gran Turismo 6 and Forza Motorsport 5 are both out of the United Kingdom top ten.
