As the development team at EA Sports is getting ready for the official announcement of FIFA 14, the fan community is getting ready to once again push for the inclusion of female players in the football simulation.

A new petition linked to the subject is now being offered on Change.org and it states that in the United States, more than 40 percent of football players are female and the overall gamer population is made up of about 47% women.

A petition for female players was also launched for FIFA 13, but at the time, EA Sports stated that it had no plans for such a feature.

NHL 13 already has a number of female players after a teenage girl sent a heartfelt letter to Peter Moore, who was the leader of EA Sports and who has not advanced to the chief operations officer position.
