Electronic Arts has delayed the long-awaited patch for FIFA 13 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, as the publisher has detected a serious error before sending it to certification with Sony and Microsoft.

FIFA 13 came out last month and impressed millions of sports fans with its great soccer/football simulation.

Sadly, it also had quite a few glitches and errors, so EA quickly confirmed that it was working on an update designed to solve problems with the Career Mode, the FIFA Ultimate Team feature, and improve upon the online matchmaking.

After appearing on the PC platform last week, the patch was set to come out this week on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Sadly, this won’t happen, as EA has confirmed that, due to a serious issue, the patch has been delayed.

New release dates will be confirmed in the near future, once the publisher gets word from Sony and Microsoft. So, until then, players are stuck with quite a lot of issues.
