FIFA 12 gets Euro 2012 downloadable content this week, allowing players to enter the European nation-based competition, but it seems that the development team working on the series is already looking into the future and to the next generation of consoles.

Sebastian Enrique, who is the lead producer working on the Euro 2012 DLC, told CVG that, “I don't know. We'll have to see, if there are new consoles, what specs they have and what they offer us”

He added, “I'm sure that the day new consoles come we're going to try to make the most out of them, as we've done with PS3 and Xbox 360. When they come we won't be thinking one year at a time, we'll have a long-term plan and a vision for what we see as the future of football games, but today I can't share that because I don't know anything.”

FIFA 13 will arrive during September 2012 and will probably be another best seller for Electronic Arts.
