14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Turtle Rock and publisher 2K Games are sparing no expense in the run-up to the launch of Evolve, and a new live-action trailer for the asymmetrical shooter manages to evoke the atmosphere of the game while delivering some very chilly moments.
The footage shows four friends as they seek out a fifth who turns into something more deadly than they have ever imagined.
The song featured is also called Ready or Not and is performed by Scala and Kolacny Brothers.
Live-action trailers rarely manage to capture the core of the titles they are promoting, but for Evolve, the developers have managed to show how scary it can be to face a powerful monster, even if three other friends are ready to tackle the challenge cooperatively.
The shooter will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles on February 10.
The title will allow gamers to either become a Hunter, with a variety of classes and abilities to choose from, or a monster.
The two sides will have very different play styles and the development team says that player tactics and skill will decide the winner of every encounter.
