Developer The Chinese Room stated that its upcoming first-person adventure game Everybody's Gone to the Rapture will not launch in 2014.

Sony and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs makers The Chinese Room have teamed up in order to deliver the story-driven adventure game Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, set to debut exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

Although there have been talks about the game showing up by the end of the year, a series of recent tweets from the developer have led to a disappointing conclusion, stating that hoping for a 2014 release would be unrealistic.

Which is just too bad, as hopes were building up following last week's tweets regarding the first stable PS4 build being up and running.

There are still some good news though, as The Chinese Room is known for immersive, narrative-driven interactive experiences, and the dev has also announced that it is "close to finishing the first draft of the script."
