The team might tweak them during the alpha and the beta

Video game developer Sony Online Entertainment announces the official system requirements for its upcoming EverQuest Next Landmark and says that it has long-term plans to support the Oculus Rift virtual reality system for the MMO.

The official site for the game lists the following hardware requirements:

Windows 7 64 bit Intel i5 Dual Core or AMD Phenom X3 or better 4GB of RAM 20 GB free hard drive space Nvidia GeForce GTX 275 series or AMD HD 4890 or better graphics card with 1 GB of RAM 10 Mbit/sec or better Internet connection

Recommended

Windows 7 64 bit Intel i5 Quad Core or AMD Phenom II X6 or better 8 GB of RAM 20 GB free hard drive space Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 series or AMD HD 6870 or better graphics card with 1 GB of RAM 10 Mbit/sec or better Internet connection

SOE says that it plans to continue to tweak the system requirements for EverQuest Next Landmark during the coming alpha and beta stages for the game.

Official plans for support for the Oculus Rift will be announced at a later time, but the team says that virtual reality is one of the most exciting elements of the coming title.

An official launch date for EverQuest Next Landmark has not yet been announced.
