The development team at Sony Online Entertainment working on the new EverQuest Next Landmark announces that it will deliver the beta version of the MMO on March 26 for all those who are interested in the title.

The company announces that a complete wipe will accompany the move from the alpha to the beta versions of the title.

SOE explains on the forums that, “When Closed Beta begins, you will need to choose a new appearance, gather new resources, craft new tools and make new claims from scratch again. Everyone starts at the same place. Upward and onward! And please be sure to welcome all our new Closed Beta friends when they arrive!”

The company also thanks all those who were involved with testing EverQuest Next Landmark until now and promises that it will continue to add features to the MMO as fast as possible.

The title is designed to allow gamers to create a complex set of items that will be evaluated by the studio and might end up being included in EverQuest Next.

SOE says that it has been adding content to the experience faster than initially projected and at the moment, a 2014 launch is possible both for Landmark and for the core game.
