Gamers will get to explore alternate history scenarios

Johan Andersson, the leader of the Paradox Development Studio, says that a big new expansion for Europa Universalis IV will be launched before the end of the year, offering as much content as The Old Gods for Crusader Kings II.

The team is still evaluating what features will be added.

He tells IncGamers that, “We keep it very open now because a lot comes down to what our audience requests and what we believe can be created to enhance the game.”

Apparently, the new expansion is just the first in a longer series of content that will be delivered for the grand strategy title.

There’s no chance for players to get an ahistorical experience like that of Sunset Invasion, as the dinosaur and UFO elements in the game files were simply intended as a developer joke.

Until the expansion for Europa Universalis IV arrives, gamers will get access to patch 1.3 later in October.
