The team at Paradox Interactive working on Europa Universalis IV announces that the Conquest of Paradise expansion can now be pre-ordered on a variety of digital distribution platforms ahead of its January 14 launch date.

The attached trailer is designed to show off some of the core features of the new content, which will introduce an entirely randomized version of the Americas that will make the grand strategy titles more exciting.

Paradox explains, “The expansion also makes it possible to play as a Native American nation and master the federation mechanics, as well as unique national ideas, buildings and events.”

A new set of Colonial nations with their own unique mechanics will also replicate the struggle for freedom of real-world countries. The company wants players to experience a larger variety of outcomes for the factions they control.

Conquest of Paradise will also include a number of tweaks to the core mechanics of Europa Universalis IV.
