One of the most interesting features of the recent Europa Universalis IV is the saved game converter, which allows players to take any Crusader Kings II campaign and turn it into a starting position for the new grand strategy title.

The team at PC Gamer took a look at the more unusual elements of the converter and has found that players can get access to some unique civilizations.

Jomsvikings are a Pagan warrior order and if they are converted to EU IV, they will become a theocratic faction that has the Norse religion and a number of unique national ideas that allow them to get bonuses to their land and naval forces.

Importing a Crusader Kings II to save what was created with the Sunset Invasion will also give players access to a new High American tech group, which can make all civilizations from the continent powerful competitors on the world stage because they have better tech development.

Those who have used Byzantium as a starting point to recreate the Roman Empire in CK II can also choose to use it in EU IV, with a number of unique ideas and some interesting military capabilities.
