The quirky indie game Eufloria's PS Vita version will make its appearance in the PlayStation Store on December 18, as announced by its designer.

The designer details the particularities of the PlayStation Vita port, during the announcement of its launch date on the PlayStation Blog.

Eufloria is an indie real-time strategy game originally released for PC in 2009. Shortly after, it gained instant fame, and its unique, simplistic and charming approach caused it to be ported on the PlayStation Network, iOS, Android, Linux and even for the BlackBerry PlayBook, in late 2012.

The setting is a futuristic environment where the player is given command of the interstellar lifeforms called Euflorians, a sort of plant-like race that lives and gains resources from asteroids.

Consequently, the player has the mission to colonize and conquer asteroids by growing trees and spreading seedlings throughout the universe.

The gameplay is very laid-back and calming, and the music and graphics go hand in hand and create a truly different experience from what gamers have come to expect from strategy titles.

But complexity and war are very present, as players have to continually spread and battle other empires in their mission to discover the mysterious origin of an opposing alien race.
