14 DAY TRIAL // One of the few real-time strategy games coming on PC in the next few months, Etherium is already available for pre-order on Steam and those who want to get it ahead of its release will also benefit from a 10% discount off the game’s original price.
We reported yesterday that publisher Focus Home Interactive confirmed Etherium would be released in January 2015, but an exact launch date has yet to be announced.
Today, the first trailer of the upcoming RTS offers fans of the genre a glimpse at what’s to come. The 4-minute gameplay video explains the story behind the game and some of the mechanics.
Developed by Tindalos Interactive, the RTS title allows players to take command of any of the three factions and do battle on 6 planets over a rare resource called etherium.
Players will be able to choose from the humans of The Consortium, a fanatical alien race called the Intari, and The Vectis which is a symbiotic race of technology and etherium.
Besides the single-player campaign, Etherium will also offer a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players where you can battle enemies controlled by humans or AIs.
