Video game developer City Interactive announces that it is now set to launch its World War II themed shooter Enemy Front at some point during the summer season, after initially aiming to deliver the game on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC in spring.

The game was first expected to arrive in late 2013, but the team chose to push it back in order to have extra time to polish the core mechanics, Videogamer informs.

City Interactive says that Enemy Front is the first modern shooter set during World War II and will allow players to explore the battle lines that were forming in Germany, France and Norway using the character of a war correspondent named Robert Hawkins.

The title is supposed to mix classic first-person shooter elements with stealth and an open-ended story.

Stuart Black was one of the developers first associated with Enemy Front, but he left the project in 2012.
