Video game developer City Interactive announces that it will launch its shooter Enemy Front in spring 2014. The game offers players a World War 2 based experience that allows them to choose between stealth and all-out assault.

Initially, the game was created under the leadership of Stuart Black, but since he left the company, the leader of the team is Raphael van Lierop, who has also worked on Far Cry 3 and on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

The game will offer a non-linear sandbox that will allow players to fight Nazi forces behind their lines, in areas ranging from France and Norway to Poland and Greece, according to Joystiq.

Enemy Front will include a variety of classes for players, close quarters combat, vehicle-based boss battles.

Players can spy on enemy troops, sabotage their equipment and assassinate their leaders while taking advantage of destructible environments.

The weapons will be modeled on those seen in the real World War II, but the game also brings over-the-top effects.
