Playing Total War: Rome II, Card Hunter, PCM 2013, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Andrei Dumitrescu: I was complaining this time last week about the fact that a trip to the seaside (which turned out to be incredibly fun) was not allowing me to spend time with Total War: Rome II.

I haven’t played the game since then, but that situation will change during the weekend, when I plan to get 24 full hours with the strategy title from The Creative Assembly and push as far as possible into a campaign with the Macedonians.

There are some issues that I have spotted, but the studio is working hard in order to eliminate everything that the community is flagging as problematic and to add new functionality.

If and when I get tired of trampling over my Greek cousins and the various barbarians to the North, I will also play a little bit of Pro Cycling Manager 2013 in order to simulate the Vuelta and see how my favorite riders are finishing the year with the World Championships.

And I might also try out some Card Hunter as long as I find any spare time.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend is going to be occupied by quite a few different titles, chief among which being Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

While I first got back into the online shooter just to get the different weapon cases from the Arms Deal mechanic, I've fallen back in love with the simple first-person shooter, just like I did many years ago with Counter-Strike 1.5 and 1.6, two titles that defined my early gaming years.

When I am not shooting people up online, I'll probably pick up a controller and experience either Rayman Origins or Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I never did get a chance to complete Origins and now, after the great Rayman Legends, I want to complete the first adventures in the new series.
