Playing Football Manager 2015 and Game of Thrones

Andrei Dumitrescu: My weekend, and possibly a few more weeks of my life, will be swallowed up by Football Manager 2015, the simulation created by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA, and I plan to once more take charge of Liverpool in order to try and lead them to the Premier League title and to European success.

The game keeps the core elements that have made it part of one of the longest running franchises in the industry but also enhances some elements, including the interactions with players and journalists that are some of my favorite moments.

At the moment, Liverpool are not performing very well in the real world and one of the most attractive elements of the title from Sports Interactive is that it allows anyone to create an interesting narrative where struggles are just one moment in the road that leads to victory.

The only big problem with Football Manager 2015 is that it requires a lot of time and a lot of attention, and that means it’s hard for other titles to get on my playlist for the weekend.

Game of Thrones Ascent remains the other gaming experience I cannot separate myself from, especially when the high stakes battles of Alliance versus Alliance are running and prizes are there to be won.
