Playing Order of Battle: Pacific and Game of Thrones

This weekend I have some social obligations to deal with, but I still refuse to install any sort of real video game on my Android phone, so I will spend just a few hours playing on my home PC.

My choice is based on the idea that I want to be present and attentive when I am out and about, not interested more in my virtual reality rather than in my immediate surroundings.

The only concession I am making is linked to Game of Thrones: Ascent, because I really need to follow alliance orders and I cannot do that on the go if I do not have their app installed.

I will continue to enjoy Order of Battle: Pacific on my PC, a video game that manages to combine my love of solid strategy with my obsession/passion for World War II.

The title is similar in many ways to Panzer General, but the development team has managed to create a mix of classic mechanics and innovative ideas.

The Artificial Intelligence is also pretty solid and I am currently having a relatively tough time in most battles, often restarting in order to try out new strategies, trying to find a clear weakness that I can exploit in the long term.
