Playing CK II, Wargame AirLand Battle, Steam Trading Cards and Last of Us

Andrei Dumitrescu: This is the weekend before I embark on the long trip to Los Angeles in order to attend E3 2013 and the most important real-life game I will be playing is called "plan the hours of the day."

The trade show is overwhelming in many ways but to a dedicated gamer like me, the biggest issue is that there’s no physical time to experience everything it has to offer, especially given that this year Sony and Microsoft are offering more details on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

I will use my limited free time to play more Wargame AirLand Battle, a strategy game that has really captured my imagination and even led me to ignore The Old Gods expansion for Crusader Kings II.

I admit that my performance in Wargame is worse than I would like it to be and I plan to dedicate my time to improving my Deck and my tactics before jumping into some multiplayer matches.

Andrei Dobra: After a very long wait, I'll be jumping into The Last of Us on the PlayStation 3 this weekend. I loved the Uncharted series from developer Naughty Dog and, while the tone of The Last of Us is quite different than the studio's previous franchise, I'm looking forward to going on an adventure with Joel and Ellie.

Thanks to the Steam Trading Card system, I'll also be jumping into different games I own for the PC in order to get some of their various cards and then sell them via the Steam Community Market.

Seeing as how my library is filled both with big games, like Borderlands 2, but also with indie titles, like Bit.Trip Runner 2, I can easily get a lot of cards and make some money out of the different titles I own on Steam.
