We're redeemed and might end up dead

Andrei Dumitrescu: Temperatures are set to reach extreme levels on the plus side this weekend in the region I live and the best way to relax would be near a nice big body of water, with ice cold drinks in one hand and a book in the other.

But when the gaming urge hits, I plan to play a little Red Dead Redemption and take on the Western atmosphere that Rockstar has created, seeing how they used old flicks and the best bits from each of them to create a universe that has the potential to actually be more interesting and believable than the New York of Grand Theft Auto IV. Playing cowboys is never as easy as it should be but the atmosphere is there and Mexico is not far, which gives it an interesting gaming proposition.

And when the dust and heat, both real and virtual, get to me, I plan to continue slogging through games of Neptune's Pride, perfecting early game strategies and sampling the bitter sweet nectar of betrayal from time to time.

Mihail Cernea: This weekend, I'll be returning to the old Prince of Persia universe with Prince of Persia: the Forgotten Sands. I played the original Sands of Time from time to time during the last weeks and also had fun with Prince of Persia Retro on my iPhone to prepare for his latest adventures.

Despite the (really) beautiful visuals, I personally disliked the character and the experience delivered for the handheld version of the recent reboot, so this come back to the old Prince was very good news for me. I just love the way the voice actor portrays the hero, truly showcasing how the character's constant troubles with the Dagger of Time change him as he grows old.
