Playing Blackguards, Continue?, Stick It to the Man, Counter-Strike

Andrei Dumitrescu: The game that captured my attention during this week is Blackguards and I plan to spend most of my gaming weekend trying to make as much progress as possible in the role-playing experience that has just been launched.

The Daedalic-made experience is turn based when it comes to combat and has quite a lot of complexity for its genre.

I appreciate role-playing titles that expect the gamer to learn from playing, to at first fail and then refine a strategy rather than simply succeeding from the start without having to worry too much about their actions.

I actually lost battles in Blackguards and as the game progresses, I am looking forward to tougher challenges, even if they might also introduce an element of frustration to the experience.

For the rest of my time, I will choose something completely different and I might spend a few more hours with Continue?987654321, an indie game that has a fascinating world, but never offers a very coherent story.

It’s an interesting title that uses the medium in some innovative ways.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend will be spent with a few different titles, including Stick It to the Man, a delightful puzzle platformer that's reminiscent of Psychonauts, as you can read people's minds and manipulate them by solving various challenges.

When I am not exploring the hilarious game, I'll probably jump back into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as the recent extension to Operation Bravo means that I'll be able to hopefully obtain a gold level on my badge before it expires next month.

Last but not least, I'll probably try out a few of the more recent acquisitions I've made on Steam, including Syder Arcade, the old-school "bullet hell" experience, and Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition, which were both on sale this week.
