Andrei Dumitrescu: Dead Space 2 is a good game but it's almost criminally short by my standard, at about 8 to 10 hours on the normal difficulty settings, which encouraged me to take a step I rarely even think about, playing it on a higher difficulty setting again, in order to see what kind of effect more stringent ammo restriction would have on the fire fights and whether I can face off against necromorphs with just my fists and my limited sprinting ability.

The Dead Space 2 experience is still worth trying out, as our positive Softpedia review can confirm.

When scares in deep space are no longer scary, I will also dabble in Magicka, the spell creation simulator from Arrowhead games, which can be spectacular and frustrating at the same time, and in the beta stage of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Retribution, which brings forward the human troops of the Imperial Guard.

Andrei Dobra: Seeing as how I've finished all of my exams, this weekend will be spent indulging in two great games from Electronic Arts, Dragon Age: Origins and Dead Space 2.

I'll probably be finishing some of the downloadable content released for Dragon Age this weekend, including Witch Hunt or Leliana's Song, before making the jump to Awakening, the full pledged expansion for the game.

When I won't be killing Darkspawn and dragons in BioWare's RPG, I'll be killing necromorphs in Visceral Games' third-person shooter.

I have already completed the survival horror title once, but I'll be starting a New Game+ mode, in which I can retain all my upgrades and be able to uncover new suits for the hero of the title, Isaac Clarke.

The experience won't be the same as the first time, as I'll already know when the big enemies will appear, but it's still going to be a challenge.
