Andrei Dumitrescu: 2010 is done and just one more night separates us all from the excitement of a new year, one which is shaping up to be a quite interesting one for the video games industry, with a lot of great games scheduled for release and some new trends that could prove interesting.

We again have a three day weekend for New Year's Eve and I will again be spending a lot of time with friends and drinks so the gaming will be a bit light and will probably continue to focus on old titles until Dead Space 2 is released in late January.

I have a grand plan to play through the entire 2010 season in Pro Cycling Manager 2010 and using the PCM Daily database, winning all the three Gran Tours with one team, probably Liquigas or Saxo Bank.

And when pedaling along gets weird, I plan to switch to a bit of Civilization V, see if the latest patch makes the experience more interesting for me.

Andrei Dobra: While there aren't any religious holidays this weekend, I'll need to spend quite a lot of time with friends and family, in order to welcome 2011.

Still, that doesn't mean I won't be able to squeeze in a bit of gaming, as I'll finally complete the end mission of Mass Effect 2.

While I've had time to finish the title these days, I want to thoroughly enjoy it, and complete the mission in just one sitting, to soak in the story.

Until then, I'll probably go achievement-hunting in Left 4 Dead 2, as I've been slowly but surely unlocking them in the past few days.

At the moment, I still have a few campaign ones to acquire, but I might also try and complete those that require me to play the Versus online mode.

While some achievements may seem straightforward, the development team at Valve was downright diabolic when creating others, especially the one requiring you to complete the campaigns on Expert.
