Playing Total War, Football Manager 2013, Saints Row 4, and Rayman Legends

Andrei Dumitrescu: This week I attended a performance of Roger Waters – The Wall and I am planning to spend at least some of my weekend exploring why most video games do so little with music, given that the art form can have such a huge impact on our experiences.

When internal reflection is too much for me I plan to step back in time a little in order to play the Europa Barbarorum mod for Rome: Total War, which might be the most historically accurate video game experience ever created.

I will try once more to rule the Ancient World as the Cartaginians and I will experience the strategy series once more just as The Creative Assembly is getting ready to launch Total War: Rome II.

Because the English Premier League has already started, I will also launch Football Manager 2013, where my favorite club, Liverpool, has reached the 2021 season under my guiding hand and is challenging for Champions League success.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend will be filled with quite a few varied games, starting with Saints Row 4, the delightfully over-the-top open world game from Volition.

I've been a loyal fan of the series ever since Saints Row 2, and the addition of superpowers, not to mention the different throwbacks to previous entries in the series, are awesome for veteran fans as well as for those who grew tired of regular open world titles.

When I won't be wrecking havoc, I'll probably jump back into Rayman Legends so that I can unlock all the different costumes and characters for the game, as well as save the different Teensies by completing each level perfectly.

Last but not least, I'll finally pick up Pikmin 3, the newest Wii U game to grace my library and finally dust off the Nintendo console that's been sorely neglected in the past few months.
