Playing BioShock Infinite, Europa Universalis III and Injustice: Gods Among Us

Andrei Dumitrescu: I’ve been away on holiday last week in Valencia, Spain and while visiting the ancient fortress and castle at Xativa, I found my thoughts wondering towards Europa Universalis III and the situation in the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages.

I plan to use the Paradox-created grand strategy game to test some scenarios that could have happened between Aragon, Castile and their Muslim enemies and then try to take over the rest of Southern Europe, while also colonizing the Americas.

I will also play the beta of Company of Heroes 2, or stress test according to Relic, to evaluate how the development team has evolved the core ideas that made the first game of the series one of my favorite strategy experiences of the decade.

If I have any more time left, I might also go back to BioShock Infinite in order to try out a run on the harder 1999 mode.

Andrei Dobra: My weekend will be mostly spent with a review copy of Injustice: Gods Among Us, but I can't really share anything about the game until the embargo lifts on April 16. This gives me more than enough time to go through the single-player story and then engage in a few regular matches using the array of various DC Comics heroes and villains.

When I am not brawling my way through the fighting game, I'll probably jump back into Borderlands 2, as I want to continue playing with my main Commando character in the new Ultimate Vault Hunter mode and progress to the new level cap of 61.

While I'm certain that the challenge has been raised by the new mode, I'm more than eager to see just how I can perform in the new playthrough and if I can get any of the ultra-rare Pearlescent weapons or the E-tech relics.
