Developed by the good folks at Creative Assembly, Empire: Total War is a classic turn-based strategy game, a must-have for every fan of the genre.

Although released in 2009, the game still stands against most recent strategy games released in the last couple of years. In fact, there were so few good strategy games lately that fans of the genre are probably still playing the old titles in the Total War series.

Speaking of which, today's deal on Steam is SEGA's Empire: Total War, which means that if you don't own the game, then you shouldn't miss this chance to get it.

At only $9.99 / €9.99, Empire: Total War is a real bargain. And if you want even more of this, then you can buy the entire Empire: Total War Collection, which includes 6 DLCs, at only $15.99 / €15.99.

In the same piece of news, aside from the fact that developers have discounted the game for one day, Empire: Total War is now available on Linux as well. So, if you hate Microsoft and everything related to this company, Feral Interactive, the folks that ported the game on Linux, has you all covered.

If you're still not convinced, then you should definitely check out our Empire: Total War review, which dates from March 2009. Good times.
