Video game publisher Electronic Arts is the highest ranked video game company when critical impact is taken into account, with an average metascore of just over 75, when 37 titles it has launched are taken into account.

The statistics from review score aggregator Metacritic shows that Electronic Arts was the only publisher to get its average rating over 75.

Microsoft took second place in the critics-driven chart with an average rating of 73, when 42 game launched are taken into account.

Sony was third with 72.3 from 45 releases and Nintendo arrived in fourth place according to Metacritic.

Fifth place was occupied by Capcom, Warner Bros. took sixth, Ubisoft, Konami, SEGA and Namco Bandai completed the top ten for 2012.

Last place had an average critical rating of 62.5, with 32 titles taken into account.
