The development team at ZeniMax Online has plans to introduce both vampirism and werewolves to The Elder Scrolls Online after the game launches, giving players plenty of options to craft their own unique character.

Nick Konkle, the lead gameplay designer working on the MMO, tells Rock, Paper, Shotgun that the two supernatural states, widely explored in the mythology of the universe, will be skill lines that will exist independent of players’ class.

Based on certain quests and choices, players can choose to become vampires or werewolves and get more options to deal with some situations, while also limiting their ability to exist as humans in the game.

ZeniMax Online wants to give players of The Elder Scrolls Online plenty of freedom after they choose their preferred class, with some skills linked to special events, quests and to the Players versus Player component of the MMO.
