The development team at ZeniMax Online and publisher Bethesda announce that the North American megaserver for The Elder Scrolls Online is at the moment down for maintenance, although the two companies are not yet ready to say for long it will last.

They advise all fans of the game who are trying to play and are unable to do so at the moment to keep an eye on the official Twitter account in order to get more information as it becomes available.

The company is using the maintenance periods for The Elder Scrolls Online in both major territories in order to deliver updates to the game and fix any problems that the gamers have noticed with the overall infrastructure.

The MMO was launched on the PC on April 4 and all versions of the game come with a free month of subscription, which means that a lot of players are at the moment engaged with the new title.

ZeniMax Online has promised that it will move fast to make sure that the experience is balanced and to try and add more content.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a subscription-based title and some buyers have said that the constant maintenance periods for the megaservers are affecting their overall experience with the MMO.
