14 DAY TRIAL // Earth Defense Force 2025 is finally out on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, marking the return of the popular action series from Japanese developer Sandlot.
The insects have returned once again, and players are once again tasked with eliminating the creepy menace from outer space. The over the top action and incredible city block leveling explosions the series is famous for are back with even more intensity, as this time around players will take the fight back to the Ravagers, the ruthless invaders.
The release trailer for Earth Defense Force 2025 does a very good job of setting the tone for the third person shooter, as fun and action are its main concerns, similar in certain ways to the action blockbusters of the '80s, which didn't bother with realism, accuracy or storyline if the explosions were big enough.
Sandlot has also prepared two downloadable content packs with 20 extra missions each, to be released on February 25 and March 11.
