EVE Online and Dust 514, the two massively multiplayer online games from CCP have been taken offline following "significant and sustained" DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks.

CCP has gained millions of loyal players first through the EVE Online game on the PC, and then with the current free-to-play Dust 514 online shooter for the PlayStation 3.

Sadly, both games are currently offline after CCP's servers have been the target of a massive DDoS attack that started yesterday, June 2.

The studio took down the servers in order to not sustain any damage and is currently investigating the attack.

According to the latest announcement on the EVE Online Twitter, the issues are close to being resolved and the servers for both EVE and Dust 514 should be back online in the following hours.
