Media conglomerate Disney and video game publisher Electronic Arts have announced that they are working together on Star Wars-themed video games and it seems that the companies will focus on delivering quality experiences that use unique, original storylines.

John Pleasants, the co-president of Disney Interactive, states in the official announcement that, “This agreement demonstrates our commitment to creating quality game experiences that drive the popularity of the Star Wars franchise for years to come.”

The statement probably means that all the games will be AAA projects that involve high development budgets and will require time to create.

We already know that teams at BioWare, DICE and Visceral will work on Star Wars titles.

After Disney acquired the rights to the universe, it quickly shuttered all projects at LucasArts linked to it, including the much-awaited Star Wars 1313.
